Event Description

Workshop: Diplomacy and Soft-Skills – second edition (English and German)

How does a good diplomat behave in a given situation? Which are the unwritten rules and codes applied in international negotiations and official meetings? Do specific debates require a special rhetoric?

We offer you the chance to get an insight into the captivating world of diplomacy. After a successful first edition last year, our workshop about „Diplomacy and Soft-Skills“ is going into the second round in April 2015. Do you dream of one day working as a diplomat, a representative of an international institution or even as a member of an international NGO? Or are you just interested in understanding how the rules and laws of international negotiations work? Our workshop is the thing for you because it is open for everyone who is fond of diplomacy.

Assisted by professional diplomats, experts and political scientists from various countries, you will be able to gain knowledge and learn things which aren’t necessary part of the curricula at universities. In addition to that, through its practical activities, the workshop offers you the chance to put the acquired knowledge into practice.

So: Don’t just read about diplomacy – DO diplomacy!
