Come if ye dare to be part of the most rebellious pirate event in Europe, and its voyage to Bucharest organised together with TechHub Bucharest!
The European Pirate Summit (www.piratesummit.com), one of the most authentic startup conferences, which unites the true pirates from the European startup community and beyond, is touring Europe and stopping in Bucharest.
The crew is bringing with them 2 international speakers/VCs:Thomas Grota, Investment Director at T-Venture, andStephane Gantchev, Partner at LAUNCHub!
Thomas Grota, Investment Director at T-Venture
Thomas has been working in Venture Capital and the converging IT and telecommunication industry for more then fifteen years. His work focuses on helping companies to establish their position in the marketplace regarding strategies and product development.
Today Thomas is Investment Director at T-Venture Holding, the corporate Venture Capital of Deutschte Telekom AG. With his entrepreneurial spirit he supports startups and new entrants to establish a successful business and grow shareholder value. His main fields of investments are mobile platforms, mobile gaming and enabling software technologies. He exited Swoodoo to Kayak.com in 2010. Additionally Thomas is Mentor at seedcamp and hackfwd – both incubators to accelerate startups. Thomas was listed as one of the 100 most influential technology investors in Europe by The Telegraph UK in 2011.
Stephane Gantchev, Partner at LAUNCHub [LinkedIn]
Stephane has over 15 years of experience in IT and telecom, with positions held at IT service providers, mobile operators, vendors, startups and investors. He’s passionate about mobile, mobility and particularly how this changes people’s life.
At LAUNCHub, one of the largest Seed Stage funds in SEE (South Eastern Europe), he is looking to invest in startups and entrepreneurs from the region, but also from the rest of Europe with early stage products or ideas in the digital space. Stephane and his team are also open to partnering with other programs, accelerators, investors and funds to exchange deal flow and help companies grow.
